The Last of our Pennsylvania Vacation

Sweetly Tattered

It has been fun to reminisce about our recent trip to Pennsylvania. I still can’t believe: 1- that I traveled alone with two kids! 2- that we even got this incredible opportunity and 3- that it’s already over! We had such a wonderful time being with family and just relaxing the summer days away.

To finish off my un-official PA vacation series, I feel like I need to bring some closure to the whole search for cupcakes situation! Myra was so bummed that first day we headed out to get cupcakes and left with none. Unfortunately, we kept telling her when we were going to get cupcakes, so she just kept getting disappointed! So, when my mom’s friend told us of another place to go, we knew we at least had to try!

I will cut to the chase for you…we finally got cupcakes! Thanks to The Sweet Lush Cupcakery!

I was excited to walk into a room of the prettiest, most creative cupcakes I have ever seen! They had flavors I never could have dreamed up myself! And they were huge and loaded with creamy frosting. Myra finally got her cupcakes! We were all pretty happy about that!

The store-front was small and simple, with a case of cupcakes and a few tables and chairs. But that’s really all they needed! I think the coolest part about the place is the Cupcake Camper. They can drive it around, like a food truck, and sell cupcakes wherever they want!

We snagged 6 different cupcakes and headed with our friends to a pretty cemetery. I know, it sounds morbid and I felt like it kind of was, but it was really a neat place to sit. Apparently, there are even local activities that often take place there. So, it wasn’t too crazy that we chose this spot to eat our cupcakes!

Myra was so happy to have her tummy filled with a big, luscious, chocolate cupcake (like mother, like daughter). We ate and chatted and even took a few pictures! Myra was having such a fun time running around and enjoying the sunny day…and of course, the cupcakes!
